Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information you provide (name, email, phone, role).
• Order, request, and chat history within the platform.
• Payment information processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers.
• Device and usage data (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and analytics.
• Location data when you use roadside-help features, only while the job is active.
• Photos, video, or voice recordings you attach to a request.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the marketplace — match requests with suppliers, process payments, deliver orders.
• Communicate with you about your account, orders, and important service updates.
• Improve our products and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations in Qatar.

3. Sharing

We share your information with service providers when you initiate a transaction with them (e.g., your name and delivery address goes to a supplier when you place an order). We share with payment processors (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and hosting providers as required to operate the service. We do not sell your data.

Automated processing: if you choose to scan a vehicle registration card to auto-fill your car details, the image is sent to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) solely to read the fields from it. That image can contain your plate number, chassis/VIN and owner details. These images are not used to train models, and we do not retain the image after the fields are extracted. We also use an AI provider (Anthropic) to translate marketplace category names only — no personal data is involved. Scanning is entirely optional: you can always enter your vehicle details manually.

4. Your choices

You can access, update, or delete your account at any time from your profile page. You can also download a copy of your data or request deletion. Email hello@garagna.com for help.

5. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data — encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, and least-privilege access for our team. No system is perfectly secure, so we recommend strong unique passwords and not sharing your account.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and request data for as long as your account is active or as required by law. Media you attach to a request (photos, video, voice recordings) is visible only to you, the providers you send the request to, and the Garagna team; it is stored privately, and video and voice recordings are automatically deleted 45 days after a request becomes inactive.

7. Children

Garagna is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
